The Volunteer Center of North Texas (VCNT), is one of the largest and most active volunteer centers in the country. A primary purpose of VCNT is to recruit volunteers, including individuals, corporations and civic and faith-based groups, to serve more than 2500 nonprofit member organizations throughout the North Texas area. Other services include the Donated Goods program, background checking program, Mandated Volunteer Program for court-ordered community service, the cooperative ServiceWorks! program with local city governments and municipal departments, corporate citizenship and social responsibility services, training and education for volunteer management, and much more.
