Description Provides comprehensive public health services including the following specialty programs: A. CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS (CSHCN) program assists with payment of medical services and supplies for children who met the following criteria: 1) child is less than 21 years old (with the exception of Cystic Fibrosis which is covered at any age), 2) lives Texas, 3) family's income is 200% or less of federal poverty guidelines, and 4) diagnosis includes a chronic physical or developmental medical condition. Additionally, services are provided to children with special health care needs including those receiving Medicaid, SSI, CSHCN and families referred from the community.
