Veterans Center of North Texas (VCONT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, veteran operated organization designed as a first point of contact, "One Stop" service and referral center for North Texas Veterans and their families. Trained volunteers, most of whom are veterans themselves, intake information and identify veteran's immediate and on-going assistance needs such as finding employment, housing, education, health, transportation, counseling, financial or legal services, or a combination of those needs. Volunteers collect the information from veterans and assist with the completion of forms required to ensure successful and productive visits with a multitude of area service organizations including local community, county, state or federal organizations that can help fulfill the veteran's needs. VCONT follows up with each service provider the veteran is referred, assists the veteran with any further paperwork or referral to any additional service provider and follows up until veteran no longer needs assistance.
