Description Programs: RSVP creates and coordinates meaningful volunteer opportunities for older adults, SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM provides in-home companion services to elderly with physical and emotional needs so that they can remain independent in their own homes. FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM pairs older adults with disabled, hospitalized or children with special needs. ADVOCACY GROUP FOR ELDERS (AGE) coordinates advocacy and public education activities related to aging issues. Administers the Dallas County NURSING HOME OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM to help insure quality care in nursing homes and enlists community volunteers as friendly visitors to residents. GUARDIAN & MONEY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM matches volunteers with vulnerable and incapacitated elderly to make sure that personal, healthcare and financial needs are met. ELDER SUPPORT PROGRAM provides information and supportive counseling to older adults and caregivers of aging loved ones.
